1. Can any handle set be used?
Absolutely not. The certification process, for example according to EN 179 or EN 1125, is always conducted
with the handle (EN 179) or push bar (EN 1125) that is suitable for the product. A combination
of products that were not tested and certified together is not permitted.
2. Can panic doors or emergency exit doors be combined with alarm systems?
Yes. Alarm systems do not interfere with the panic or emergency exit functions. However, it is generally
advisable to contact the manufacturer of the system or the installation company.
3. Who should I contact for questions regarding emergency escape routes?
Questions on this topic can be answered by various companies or groups, including architects,
fire protection officers, building authorities, the fire department and safety consultants.
